Kenneth Ray Myers, age 70, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023 at his home.

He was born November 18, 1952 to the late William Thomas Myers and Mary Myers.

Ken graduated from Soddy Daisy High School in 1970. He attended Red Bank Church of Christ.

Mr. Myers had a 53 year career in the grocery business that began at Red Food Stores, Inc. in Hixson. Later he became a food broker and retired from CrossMark Brokerage Company.

He was an avid golfer, Atlanta Falcons, and Tennessee Vols fan.

Ken’s brother, Laverne Myers preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Cheryl Myers; sons, Bryan (Sarah) Myers of Soddy Daisy, Allen (Alice) Myers of Chattanooga; sister, Judy (John) Hamrick of Pikeville; and grandchildren, Easton, Ben, Annie, and Henry Myers to whom he was affectionately known as “Poppy”.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will begin at 2:30 p.m. in the East Brainerd Chapel with Minister Tommy Stone officiating. Interment will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park.
